FAQs

  • Who is eligible?

    Any registered non-profit organization in Newfoundland and Labrador is eligible to apply for funding from the Perlin Family Trust. 

    Perlin Family Trust grants are project-based, and we do not consider applications for sustaining funds. But will consider funding over a specific duration required for the completion of a specific project.

    Projects must:

    • Demonstrate how funding from the Trust can assist in the advancement of the proposed project and/or acquiring additional funding required

    • Demonstrate positive community impact

    • Require funding that cannot be easily obtained elsewhere

    • Incorporate a plan for assessing impact

  • No, budgets should accurately reflect project needs and identify other sources of funding, if any.

  • Applications welcome on a year round basis. The Trustees meet quarterly to consider applications.

  • Please download the application here. Applications should be filled out digitally. Finished applications can be sent to perlinfamilytrust@gmail.com.

  • Questions may be directed to perlinfamilytrust@gmail.com. Please note it may take up to 7 business days for our volunteer staff to reply to questions.

  • Applications are reviewed by the Trustees of the Perlin Family Trust.

  • We welcome repeat applications, but ask that there be a 12 month period between applications for the same Applicant.

  • Confirmation of receipt will be provided within 4–6 weeks and the Trustees will also provide an estimated date for its next scheduled quarterly review.
